For Miss Porter’s School, that meant tracing the throughlines from their pre-Civil War origins to today.

And the truth the emerged through our partnership — amid the turbulent challenges of 2020 — is that the best way to honor Sarah Porter’s legacy is to point fearlessly toward the future: one in which young people gain access to opportunity regardless of their gender, and one in which all students belong — especially those who identify as Black, Latinx, Asian, or other people of color.
